Local Rules - Dress Code

Golf Course Dress Policy: Golfers are required to wear proper golf attire at all times while on the course! Inappropriate Golf Attire Includes: Jogging or Gym Pants Bathing Attire Tank Tops, Tube or Halter Tops Tennis Attire Cut Offs, Short Shorts (all types) Sleeveless blouses with less than 3" strap Men must wear a collared shirt or contemporary mock. Shorts for men and women should not be less than 6" above the knee. ALL JUNIORS MUST ABIDE BY THE ABOVE DRESS POLICY

Non-Metal Spike

Springfield Country Club is a non-metal spike golf course. Metal spikes are prohibited.

Rules for Play
1. All players must register in the Golf shop before going on the course.
2. There shall be no starting on any tee at any time without permission from the Golf Shop.
3. All play shall be governed by the rules of golf as established by the USGA, except as Modified by local rules on the course, which are printed on the scorecard. All points of Dispute shall be referred to the Tournament Committee whose decision shall be final. (See Handicap Procedures & Regulations).
4. If a match fails to keep its place on the course and loses more than one clear hole on The players in front, it shall allow the match following to pass. This includes all matches regardless of number of players.
5. There shall be no match consisting of more than five players.
6. Players looking for a lost ball must allow other matches following to go through if it is going to delay the match.
7. Players dropping out of play on the 9th green shall lose their place in play. Such players have no further rights on the preceding 1st tee of next 9-hole course.
8. All practice shall be confined to practice greens, practice traps and the driving range.
9. Players shall smooth out sand traps after playing out.
10. Pull Carts shall not be pulled within the area separating greens and no closer than 15 feet from any green.
11. Electric carts must be kept off areas between traps and greens and no closer than 60 feet from any green. (See Cart Regulations).
12. Bathing attire will not be permitted on the golf course. (See Dress Code).
13. Any questions concerning rules set forth above shall be decided by the Golf Professional.
14. PERSISTENT VIOLATIONS OF ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES SHALL BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

Out of Bounds on No. Eighteen: It is out of bounds a few yards to the left of the cart path on number eighteen near the residence located there. O. B. is marked by the inside edge of the stone pillars holding the cable. White O.B. markers come into play up by the green.


Yardage Markers
Color of flags on the greens denote pin placement: Red-front, White-middle and Blue-back. Many of the sprinkler heads are marked with the distance to the center of the green. 100-, 150-, and 200-yard markings are on the cart paths, and as colored stones in the center of the fairways.
